Following the trend of our smaller short fire pits, This cool 42″ Elliptical Short Fire pit sitting on a solid steel pipe base at 17″ finished height is all hand-welded; has custom hand forged handles, has a 1⁄2” drain hole to keep water out and comes with a free handcrafted 46” Fire Poker. This fire pit will easily service 2-20+ people at any gathering.

Our compact fire pit stands at only 17 inches above the ground, but it has the 42-inch diameter that invites everyone in. S & S Fire Pits is proud of every piece that we create, including the custom handles hand forged in our Georgia facility.

Let curiosity get the best of you, and visit us for a look at art in the making. We re-purpose a solid-steel pipe base as the main support of this bowl.

They will suffocate a fire at the end of the night so you can go to bed without worrying. They can also double as a lid to keep the outside elements out of your pit. By using thick gauge steel, we slow the process down significantly.  You may choose to paint your snuffer with a high temp paint which will form a bonding layer between the steel and the outside elements, but you may find yourself doing this once a year.  Otherwise, you can choose to let the natural process occur and simply leave it alone. This handcrafted 41” Hemisphere Cauldron Fire Pit gets its inspiration from the early blacksmith who working with iron hand forged everything using strapping and rivets to make secure connections.   Early cauldrons were primarily used as cooking vessels, but it wasn't uncommon to use them for burning in as well.  Sitting approximately 24”off the ground this fire pit is all hand-welded and has a solid 1/4" thick base.  The ring handles are hammered steel, it has a 1⁄2” drain hole to keep water out, comes with a handcrafted 46” Fire Poker, and this fire pit is designed to easily service 2-30 people at any gathering.  As with all our fire pits don’t forget the 41″ Snuffer to match and the 41″ Cooking Grate,  they are both a must have.  Over time this fire will age beautifully taking on a very deep rustic color.
