A fire pit by itself is a great thing. With the right accessories, it becomes something you actually use every weekend instead of something that sits in the yard looking nice. The difference is usually the small stuff: a good poker that doesn't bend when you actually use it, a snuffer lid that means the evening ends cleanly, a cooking grate that fits properly and doesn't shift during use.
Most of what's in this section is handcrafted by the same team that builds the fire pits — forged handles, solid welds, carbon steel throughout. The Adirondack chairs and cup holders are Amish-made poly synthetic, built for outdoor use without rotting, splintering, or fading. The fire pit covers are rainproof and sized to protect the bowl between uses.
Frequently Asked Questions
What accessories does a fire pit actually need?▼
At minimum: a snuffer lid (to put the fire out cleanly) and a poker (to tend the fire safely). A cooking grate is the next most useful addition if you plan to cook over the fire. Everything else — spatulas, tongs, ash shovels, marshmallow forks — depends on how you use the pit.
What poker works best with an S&S fire pit?▼
Our handcrafted pokers are built from carbon steel with forged handles — they're heavy enough to move real wood without bending and long enough to keep your hands away from the heat. We carry several styles; check the individual product pages for handle design and length.
What is the ring shelf used for?▼
The ring shelf is a custom-welded add-on that attaches to the outside of your fire pit bowl and provides a surface for setting drinks, plates, or tools near the fire. It's sized to specific pit diameters — make sure to match the shelf to your pit size when ordering.
What size fire pit cover do I need?▼
Covers are sized by fire pit diameter. A 36" fire pit needs a 36" cover. Check the product listing for your cover size and confirm it matches your pit's diameter before ordering.
Are the hand tools handcrafted?▼
Yes. The pokers, tongs, spatulas, ash shovels, and other hand tools are all handcrafted from carbon steel in-house — the same team and shop that makes the fire pits.
Can I order accessories without buying a fire pit?▼
Absolutely. All accessories are sold individually and ship separately. They're designed for S&S fire pits but many work with other fire pits of similar diameter.
What are the Adirondack chairs made of?▼
The Adirondack chairs are Amish-made from poly synthetic lumber — a material made from recycled plastics that looks like wood, feels like wood, but doesn't rot, splinter, or fade. No maintenance required, and it holds up to year-round outdoor exposure.
