CAULDRON FIRE PIT SNUFFER LID

A properly fitted fire pit snuffer lid helps extinguish the fire by limiting its oxygen supply. Slide the steel lid over the bowl at the end of the evening instead of pouring water onto hot steel and ash.

We build each lid from heavy plate steel for the matching S&S fire pit. It also helps keep rain out of the bowl after the fire has cooled. The raw steel will oxidize outdoors and develop a natural patina that complements the pit.

SAFE USE AND CARE

Use heat-resistant gloves when handling metal near a recent fire. Keep the lid in place until the fire and coals are fully extinguished and cool. Remove dry ash regularly, and do not leave wet ash inside the pit because it can become corrosive.
